"App’s been working great for me"
I’ve been using the Vivint app for a while now, maybe since last spring or summer, I can’t remember exactly, and it’s been really easy to use. I can check my cameras, lock the doors, and change the temperature quickly. The notifications also come through fast. i haven’t had any major issues with it so far

"I’ve had vivint for a while now..."
I’ve had vivint for a while now, and the app is fine for the most part. My issue is more with the equipment. The doorbell camera randomly goes offline, and one of the sensors keeps throwing errors for no clear reason.
Support has been nice and they’ve helped me reset things, but the fix never seems to last very long. It’s not even about having the fanciest system or anything, I just expected the hardware to be more dependable for what it costs

"Alerts didn’t come through when I needed them"
I might be forgetting the times it worked fine, but the moments I remember are the frustrating ones. A couple of alerts showed up way later than they should have, which kind of defeats the point of monitoring for me

"Got help fast when my camera wouldn’t show up"
I ran into this annoying issue where the camera wasn’t showing up in the app, and I wasn’t sure what I had messed up. I reached out to support, and they got back to me quickly. They walked me through the fix step by step without making it feel complicated or like a big deal. A few minutes later, everything was working again. Super relieved and happy with how easy it was.

The Vivint install was okay overall. The system is working fine so far, but the tech seemed like they were in a hurry and some of the wires were left looking a little messy. For what it costs, I expected the setup to look more polished. I’m glad everything works, but I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted to feel excited about it afterward.

"No surprises when it came to pricing"
I was expecting a little back-and-forth or some fine print to pop up, but everything was straightforward. The pricing was laid out clearly, and going through the contract didn’t feel like a hassle. It was just easy to understand, which I really appreciated.
